Quote from wicked-one :Hey, I'm new here. And I got a problem. I have downloaded many wheelie setups and tried to wheelie.. But the front end just wont lift..?
I've heard that you have to ram the rear end.. But that didn't work either.. Any suggestions/tips?

You have to tap brakes in rythm while still being on the throttle so the front end starts jumping aswell as smash the rear in XRT's case.

[RF]-art555 - UFR wheelie? :S It's front wheel drive man!

Just doing it backwards in the reverse gear
And no need to brake anything, simply smash the gas in the reverse, tap clutch a few times and of you go

Quote from J@tko :Thank You - what sort of impact does having 30 cars instead of 15 (or however many you can have in multiplayer) make on your system - in other words, do you think my system would cope with a decent fps?

Thanks

Not sure, it shouldn't have a huge impact on FPS. It might drop to ~20 which is still playable. My system is quite a low end too but I have no problems on full servers (32 cars, even tho they aren't on the screen all the time)

Quote from J@tko :@Töki (HUN): The frame rate on the vid was like really low according to the fps calculator thing. (lower than what I get on my rubbish system!) Was that just cos you had a vid recording program open at the same time, or is it always low, and if so is it ok on Multiplayer? I'm asking cos my system, as i've said is pretty rubbish and i get about 25fps on 15 player multiplayer, and wondered if it gets much lower if I got S2. (Although my system is so good that installing a hi-res track pack increases fps!)

P.S - Nice Crashes!

I'm not Toki, but I think I might answer yout question: S2 is the same program and it has the same fps as demo. Things that affect fps are the track and car models combination...so basicly 15 XRTs on BL at Demo will have the same amount of FPS as the same combo on S2. But variation between the "lightest" combo and the "toughest" one isn't very big
Hope that helps

Quote from Sketchyrollin564 :When i hit ctrl and shift (when i have it to show FPS default), it only shows the time.

Yes, the thing that Blackout was talking about is that there is an option that replaces FPS by date information which shows date, month etc. Quite massive overall

Quote from xaotik :I did go - but I still didn't get it. What makes it a "cruising road texture"? The extra lines?

yes, probably some lines you'll see on typical roads

ok, this might be a bit off-topic, but can any owner of G25 tell me what is the maximum width of the pedals (in cm)? The reason I'm asking is that I have a quite small amount of space beetween PC and UPC under table... I was googling it a lot but no result.

Thanks

Quote from Blackout :What for do you use shift+ctrl then?

ok, I'm not using shift F all the time but even when I don't use it, I'd like to see just time, not a line of text that contains year, month, day and time and all other useless data which ends in the middle of the screen

I'm just supporting this suggestion

That will leave you without doors then at 100mph

Shouldn't windows be visible from the inside of the car before being able to open them? As for lights on XR... well there will only be point in them when we'll have night conditions, at day time its just showing off...Those small lights it has are more than enough for just blinking (nobody notices them anyway )

Quote from Blackout :There is an option to replace FPS with time. Why should you monitor your FPS all the time is beyond me anyway, either it runs or doesn't and you can see it.

I'm racing without everything on the screen, Shift F ftw!

Quote from Mp3 Astra : [B]"To stop messages from being displayed in Multiplayer replays, open up cfg.txt wich is in the LFS folder. Search for 'MPR Message Block' and change it to 1, change it back to 0 afterwards if you want. Remeber to save it when LFS isnt running."

Changing it to 3 works better With option set to 1 messages as "racer xxxx left pits" etc are still visible. With option set to 3 its all gone

NIce vid btw... Gave me extra push to renew work on the crash compilation I'm working

Quote from flymike91 :naw we're not done. I think that insim has done a good thing for drifting because of the points system. If drifting stats were recorded as thoroughly as race stats, would it become more legitimate in racer's eyes?

That system is really pointless imo... The mechanism of giving points is really strange. Sometimes when you just throw the car into the corner it gives out a lot more points than a good clean passing of the corner, some happends when you barely catching the car etc...

But on topic, InSim is making a lot more good than bad (whats the bad point?)

Quote from Woz :The hybrid tyres are for rallyX, hence the mud on them. They might be popular with drifters BUT they are still for rallyX.

Drift in LFS is is a SIDE EFFECT of the good LFS physics. Why should we remove rallyX tyres and replace them with drift? Do you want rallyX removed from LFS as well?

He doesn't want that, he just wants a hires hybrid tyre treads without mud on them (where he's gonna use them is his business and I don't really care about it)
